If you take a moment to talk to those in charge of prosecuting the election code, you’ll quickly find out just how broken the election code is, as well as how hard it is to criminally convict one who is guilty of election fraud and ballot harvesting. Reform is needed in order to stop those who would seek to undermine our elections and disrespect those who have marched, protested and, more importantly, died for our right to vote.

Sullivan: “Don’t mess with Texans’ constitutional rights.”

donttargetmeConservatives are the bull’s-eye of weaponized government.  Nowhere was this more apparent than Lois Lerner’s deliberate attacks on Tea Party groups.  Until now, the full force of the so-called Texas Ethics Commission was a well-used weapon in that governmental arsenal.  Their latest misfire against Empower Texans will change that fact. The commissioners themselves are now targets of some serious scrutiny and legal action from the very group they tried to attack.

Michael Quinn Sullivan, founder of Empower Texans puts it this way, “Our lawsuit will hold these commissioners personally liable for their unconstitutional actions.  They tried to use us as an excuse to silence all Texans, and instead we will use them as a warning to anyone in power who tries to abuse the public trust. Don’t mess with Texans’ constitutional rights.”
